Hybrid Version Feb 5, 2018

Sam Likes:
  • Going to live with Grandparents, generation gap, it's okay for the kid to run around in the forest. "Be home by dinner."
  • Likes the segments, progressive disclosure, give the player little bits at a time while they are exploring the world.
  • Liked the monsters acting as gates. Doesn't necessarily have to wait till the "end" monsters.
  • Main character: not a scaredy cat, but is shy and retreating. They have closed their self off, the
  • The game is a mystery from the beginning. Doesn't have to be a farm, just on the edge of civilization. End of a dead end street. The forest is where things are alive in this world.
  • All about the monsters and working out those relationships.
  • Not trying to balance school, you are off for the summer.
  • Likes the idea of being assigned to "visit teach, home teach" someone who may not be super interested or willing to accept help.
  • Conversation needs to align with core game play, not a big task in and of itself.
  • Character needs to have character that is easy to understand, i.e. static quality that you see throughout.
  • Perhaps can pick boy/ girl.
Not Sure:
  • Hasn't heard anything yet about monsters being biomes that is super appealing. Seems like
  • Hasn't heard good arguments for backpack yet. Needs purpose and personality to supplement the main characters story.
  • How to resolve the action/expanding audience idea?
Not Going This Direction:
  • Not going to see it all at once.
  • Monsters aren't in a zoo or sanctuary.
  • Stereotype
