Class Notes/Pitches 2/5/2018

Kris and Shaun,
  • Focus on Forest, contained open world, much like Super Mario 64.
  • You can go into different worlds that are enclosed mini worlds.
  • You could start in one main biome and then go jump into "picture frames"
  • Unlocking biomes allows you to meet new small monsters, and then eventually meeting big epic monsters.
  • You can use you're rake, with different attachments.
  • You will get upgrades and tools for your utility stick from helping different monsters,
  • Different mini games that you would repeat throughout the game, i.e. escort quests, race quests,
  • More quests, will lead you to more friendship, and quests.
  • Home in town would be home base. Eventually as you progress you can stay in the forest longer and longer, you can stay in the forest longer and longer and camp even over night.
  • Phoenix example, burning stuff.
  • Why we should do it? A lot in this group love animals, and dragons, and love fantasy adventures. Teach kids to take responsibility.

Jon, Brooklyn, Tanner
  • There are big biomes that are monsters in and of themselves.
  • You need to go and help the little monsters and solve their problems. And explore the biomes, eventually you will be able to encounter the biome monster and help solve it's problem. And you can use the smaller monsters to help out too.
  • The gameplay would involve lots of mini games
  • Exploring, discovery, and encountering would be the main appeal.

  • She chases the dog down and finds Backpack who is scared of Zorro. Lucy helps him out and then he tells her that she should go help other monsters.
  • Some game mechanics: she gets nervous and you have to hit "A" to get her to go forward, or if she gets scared and she'll start to run away, then you have to help
  • Day version: More simple, more nurture based
  • Night version: More complex, more action based
  • Gremlins come out at night and they cause ruckus, eventually you go to the dragon at the top of the mountain
  • The dragon lost a child to rock monsters and the dragon is miserable and sends the gremlins the make the other monsters miserable.
